As a result of our long-used chemical pesticides today a mixture of chemicals has infiltrated all products. If we do not stop using these chemical pesticides that are harmful to human body, human society will face huge impact in the future.
Natural method farming without chemical fertilizers has already been started by many farmers. Only when this is taken at all levels can everyone benefit from it.
K. Somasundaram, a young graduate, has started a website called HCORANIC.com to take natural food products directly to consumers from manufacturers.
Somasundaram interviewed TamilEntrepreneur.com to find out about their entrepreneurship, the issues and challenges he faced, and his project.
Mention your family and educational background:
Hailing from Salem District, I completed my BE (Mechanics) from Satyamangalam Bannari Amman College in 2013, after which I worked in Mumbai for 1 year and have been working for the last 2 years.
My father's name is P. Karunakaran who works as a driver on a daily basis, my mother's name is K. Rajathi who works as a bricklayer on a daily basis and my sister's name is K. Sandhya who works as a teacher in a school near my house.
What was the background reason you started HcOrganic.com?
Our mother would often say that we worked a lot during that time, walked at least 20km, did not know what the disease was, and if we think deeply about this the food habits they ate are respectively.
They ate naturally occurring food products such as rye, corn, cardamom, sorghum, horsetail, and sesame oil without the use of chemical fertilizers.
It has no co-founders, was in a business I had tried before but also avoided doing business with this organic food of mine (Organic Product).
Mention your company and its current status:
Our goal is the quality mantra that those who produce are the ones who set the price. Our company www.HcOrganic.Com was launched in March 2017, 100 square feet in the same office where we were already operating, our company is based on an e-commerce.
Farmers who produce food products that do not contain any chemicals naturally, sellers of organic products and manufacturers of non-organic products (ecosystem such as parchment, paper cup, earthenware) can sell their products on our website. The general public who need natural products can buy them on our website.
This allows people to add items directly. People are constantly being made aware of the natural material.
Our company is currently in good growth, it will still be able to order online on March 1, and it will also be available in mobile application form.
Offline sales of goods worth an average of Rs.8000 per day are taking place. 8 crore people in Tamil Nadu need this natural food, similarly everyone in the world should have access to natural food, embracing people are our customers
What kind of challenges did you face when you started your company:
This is the word that many people said when I first started this, don't do this business. People will buy rye, corn, rice and oil at the nearest store. That your business will not succeed, but I will listen to them, but I took only what I needed in it.
I had nothing called my savings due to the loss of my last business (Home Appliances sales) business, there was only one two-wheeler, but I had confidence, with my emergency money, and a friend who even studied with me invested a small amount of money in my business I'm starting.
What kind of solutions does your entrepreneurship bring to the community:
Through our company natural healthy food is easily and affordably available to all types of people and people also become aware of nature. We understand the opinions of the people and for the complete satisfaction of the people, we have given the facility of cash on delivery, return of goods, great facility to withdraw money, the health of the people will be improved so that they can live without disease.
Next, the agricultural sector, which is the backbone of the world, will improve, farmers will be able to sell their produce directly, their economy will improve, and the world's soil resources will be protected by producing chemical-free food products.
A farmer will have to reduce the price of their produce by 20% to 40% as they sell their produce through a broker, but the general public selling through our company will receive only the lowest service charge. Farmers can determine the price of their produce themselves. This will enable farmers to sell their produce at higher profits and people to buy natural products at lower prices.
