The mysterious murder case of black dahlia
In this collection you will find the mysterious murder case of actress Elizabeth Short, which has not been shrouded in mystery for more than 70 years.
In 1947 Elizabeth Chart (also known as black dahlia) was mysteriously killed. The culprit in this case has not been found. This is called the black dahlia murder case.
This is seen as the oldest case in the history of Los Angeles. It was one of the deadliest killings in the United States.
For many years after the murder, the police, the press and the intelligence services were impressed by the lawsuit. Although it is not known who killed Black Talia, it was one of the most notorious cases of 1947.
On January 15, 1947, Elizabeth Hart's decomposed body was found in a residential area outside Los Angeles. The body was found when a mother went with her child.
There is no blood in that place. His body was totally degraded. Thus the guards and detectives concluded that he had been murdered elsewhere. The killer cut the woman's mouth to the ear and made her look like a joker.
Then the fingerprints on Elizabeth's body were searched for. The U.S. police team sought help from the FBI. The FBI found many things about him.
Elizabeth had applied to join the U.S. Army in 1943 before dying. Santa Barbara was arrested by the police for drinking alcohol at a young age.
The FBI provided the information shortly after his body was found. The press then discovered and published details about him.
The media was involved in Elizabeth's murder case. They branded Elizabeth as having been sexually abused. Elizabeth was accused of sexually deceiving men.
Elizabeth may have always worn black because of her attraction to the theatrical release of The Blue Talia. Later she was thus called Black Talia. One week after Elizabeth's body was found, someone called James Richardson, editor of the Los Angeles Examiner, claiming he was a murderer.
He said he was going to mail Elizabeth's souvenirs. Over the next four days the teacher received an envelope in the mail. It contained Elizabeth's birth certificate, business cards, photographs, and address book.
Thus the affair heated up. Los Angeles police searched hundreds of locations for clues. Confessions were obtained from more than 60 persons. And interrogated more than 12 persons on suspicion. But no one was arrested.
Most people believed that Black Talia was murdered while walking alone at night. But 70 years on, the black dahlia murder case is still unresolved.
The son who discovered the father's deed
Steve Hotel, a retired Los Angeles police officer in the late '90s, saw a photograph of Elizabeth Shorts while carrying her father's belongings.
But his father was dead by then. But Steve was not quiet about it. He began to investigate his father. He went to the newspaper archives for this case. And interviewed witnesses.
He also sent an application under the Freedom of Information Act asking for files related to the "Black Talia murder case". But the FBI refused to release the files because he was a retired officer.
But he was not about to give up. He called a handwriting expert and compared the signature on the letter written by the killer with his father's signature. Steve thereby discovered that his father was likely to have written the letter.
Elizabeth's photos revealed that her body had been cut in the form of a hemi carbo rectomy. It is a medical procedure that divides the body in two below the lumbar spine. Steve's father was also a physician who attended medical school in the 1930s.
And Steve searched for documents about his father at UCLA Medical Center. In it he found a file containing various receipts related to his childhood home. It contained a receipt for his father's purchase of a large bag two days before Elizabeth's murder.
A bag of the same brand was found near Elizabeth's body. Authorities believe the killer may have used the bag to transport the body.
By the time Steve began the investigation, most of the police officers involved in the case had died during Elizabeth's time. Finally, in 2003, Steve summarized all his sources in “Black Talia Avenger. The True Story ”. Published the book.
Steve Lopez, a Los Angeles Times columnist, then sent an application requesting police files to verify the authenticity of the book. Steve Hotel was a suspect in the murder of six people, including George Hotel.
An audio recording recorded in 1950 was found in the home of George Hotel. There was an important conversation in it.
In it, George Hotel says, "I killed Black Talia. But they can't figure it out. Because she is dead, ”he said.
Steve Hotel said this was to confirm that his father had killed Elizabeth. He also inquires about his father. In this regard he claims to have collected the details of a dozen other murderers and thereby identified his father as a notorious serial killer.
Did lessy dillon kill black dahlia?
In 2017, British writer Beau Eidwell said he had settled the case of the ancient Black Talia. He authored a book, Black Talia - The Red Rose, The Crime, Crippson and Cover Up of America's Greatest Unsolved Murder.
According to him, the real culprit is Lessy Dillon. He was initially questioned at the time of the murder. But he was released. Pui Etwell says there are a lot of things in this case that go beyond just being a killer.
According to Eatwell, Dillon was the man sent by Mark Hanson to kill Elizabeth. He is only a mercenary. Not only that but Mark Hanson was also on the suspect list. He is the owner of a theater.
Hansen lived in a "half way" house. Famous stars in Los Angeles often lived in this type of house at that time. He is said to have stayed there with his friend before Elizabeth's murder.
Eidwell accused Hansen of having an affair with Elizabeth. He continued to humiliate Elizabeth. He then called Lessie Thillan because of a fight with Elizabeth.
Before that, Lessie Dillon worked in the morgue. There he knew how to dry bodies and decompose them. Eadwell found these from police records.
Dillon had many details about a crime unknown to the public. Although there was a lot of evidence about Dillon, the police never questioned him. Eidwell says Dillon was released because of his relationship with Mark Hansen.
Eidwell claims that Hanson paid large sums of money to the authorities investigating Elizabeth's murder. A crime scene at a local motel became the basis for Eatwell's theory. Easter saw an important statement from Henry Hopman, the owner of the motel.
On the morning of 15 January 1947, when Hopman opened the door to the motel rooms, he found blood and feces all over the room. In nine rooms he found blood-stained women's clothing. Hoffman cleaned them up in response to reporting them to the police.
Hoffman was arrested four days before the incident for beating his wife. So he did not want to get involved in the police affair again. According to it, Eidwell believes that Elizabeth was killed in the third room.
But although none of these witnesses have been proven, Dillon claims to have been seen in a motel with Elizabeth before Elizabeth's body was found.
But Eidwell's theories have not been proven because everyone involved in the black dahlia murder case is dead. And many important documents have been locked by the government without the knowledge of others.
Yet Etwell was optimistic about his findings. He believed the mysterious black dahlia case was settled.
Although no one really knows who killed black dahlia, these theories offer some possibilities. The truth is likely to come out if a proper investigation takes place.
Thus the black dahlia case is as incomplete as a detective film.
